THE

RAW COLOR

STORY.

In 2009, we started with an ambition to fill a gap in the market – colorful headphones for everyone, in an otherwise dull tech industry.

We still love color today (don’t get us wrong) but we wanted to reduce our material impact from an environmental standpoint, so we spent the pandemic going through a refocus for the brand.

Our goal was to find a recycled plastic material that was durable and flexible enough to make quality headphones with extraordinary design, and yet remain affordable.

After months of experimentation, working with our local recycling partner, we found old air conditioners and water bottles to be the right mix to make our headphones from. Thanks to this, we are now one of the few brands that can create almost any color in recycled plastics, reducing the CO2 footprint of the material with 90%* in comparison to virgin plastics.

As we started to work with the recycled plastic, the team discovered that the recycled material was beautiful on its own. We decided to see what happened if we made a pair of headphones without adding any pigment. The result is a milk-white semi-transparent finish, which comes from the air conditioners (a milk-white color) and plastic bottles (a light blue and transparent color). We called this little happy accident, RAW.

This year we released our latest true wireless headphones, Boo and Boo tip in RAW. It’s a product that does not look like anything else on the market and we hope you like them as much as we do.

This is just the beginning of our passion for constantly experimenting on new products and solutions. We view technology as an enabler for durability and sustainability. It’s a small part of a wider initiative, with a major goal of ours to become climate-neutral and circular by 2030.
